The Story Thus Far
First of all I appreciate everyone that has followed/supported me since I've began this chapter of my life 10 years ago. Without the love and support of my family and friends I wouldn't be here at all. In 2013 I decided to take one of the biggest risks of my life and dive head first into the barber industry. I enrolled in a barber college, I picked up a "shop hand" position at one of the best barbershops in Southern California and I was giving all the homies free haircuts whenever I had a chance. To top it all off, I had a baby boy on the way. I knew this was a make it or break it moment for me in my life and I had no time to waste. I absorbed as much as I could from the barbers I worked with on a daily basis, that it made me into the barber I am today. I've worked in every type of shop you can imagine and I'm grateful to have witnessed and experienced everything I would and would not do in this industry. You think barbering is just about cutting hair? There's a lot of politics to this shit, reputation is everything. Outside of the barbershop my bestfriend Dany Carpenter (PURE HATE) and I founded Bound By Blood Barber Production. Bound By Blood is a production company that provides on site grooming services for musicians on tour to be stage/photo/video ready. We provide promotional photos and videos for bands/musicians to showcase their performances for social media content & branding. This is our way of giving back to the culture we are passionate about. Without my brother Dany none of this would've been possible and the memories/experiences we have created will forever be a mile stone in my career. I am a modern/traditional barber who believes loyalty/respect goes hand in hand with quality/consistency in executing your craft. As your barber I give 100% into every service I provide as if it's a service being performed on myself. Once you sit in my chair, clients become friends and friends become family. I am currently the manager/barber at Shipwreck Barbershop in Corona, CA. I was given this title by my brother Jake Shipwreck, owner of the world renowned barbershops we call home. Not only has he been my best friend for 15+ years now, he confided to me and now we are living the dream. But this is only the beginning. Thank You for reading and getting to know more about me.
